CIRCUS PERFORMERS IN FREAK ACCIDENT
Tragedy struck the family of Thibodeaux this month, when 14 members of the famous family were injured in a motorcycle accident on Highyway 3 in Webster. According to a report issued by Webster Police spokesman Hiram Budrollar, the motorcycle was involved in a collision with a drunken tree on June 16 at 3:11 am. Although no one died, 14 members of the family were transported to Bacliff Animal Hospital for treatment. A spokesman for the clinic said most of the injuries were psychologocal. A counselor who speaks the unique "coonass" dialect was brought in to translate, but suffered alcohol poisoning and was sent to Waynos. The most serious injuries were suffered by "Weasel" Trahan Thibodeaux, 30, who suffered from indecent exposure, penis elbow, and a disfunctional pelvis. EMS workers who arrived at the scene reported carnage on the roadway. Matters were complicated by a gumbo spill that took over an hour to clean up.
Originally from Louisiana, the Thibodeaux family brought their famous act to Houston in 1997 due to warrants issued in their native homeland of New Iberia. After applying to the SPCA for political asylum, the group began appearing at local events, billed as "The Falling Thibodeaux Family". Working a highwire above an astonished crowd, various members of the troupe attempt to walk across a 50 ft span, or ride a unicycle. Invariably, they fall from the wire. Because the clan refuses to work with a safety net, there has been nearly 300% turnover in family members performing the dangerous act since relocating to Houston.
