MAN ASSAULTED BY TWO-BIT WHORE

A woman angered at being called a "two-bit whore" is in Galveston County Jail after she hit her victim with a bag of quarters on June 19. Sgt. Jan Reese of the Dickinson PD told GatorPress that Yvonne Mulkins was standing on a street corner at 2am on that date when a man she knew walked by and called her the name. She struck him on the head with the bag containing $22 in quarters, knocking him out cold. A witness called police, who responded by arresting Mulkins for battery. The victim, Claude Hopper, of League City, was treated by paramedics at the scene and confessed to an unsolved loitering incident.
