So Called Invisible Man Will Appear In Court
A suspected burglar and escape artist will be in court November 22nd, two years after being charged with a battery. Jap Boswell, 25, has previously claimed in court documents that he has the ability to make himself invisible. Boswell vanished from the Galveston County jail in October of 2003, and was listed as an escapee. After disappearing for 18 months, Boswell suddenly materialized at the San Leon Police Station and turned himself into the Police Chief. Officers were forced to use Taser guns after Boswell offered passive resistance. A violent struggle ensued that lasted approximately two hours. Boswell, who was rendered unconscious during the first moments of the melee, reportedly suffered minor bruises and broken bones. Several police officers who participated in the arrest received knuckle injuries and were suspended with pay pending an investigation. Americas Most Wanted dubbed Boswell "The Invisible Man" when they aired a segment in 2002. At the time Boswell was sought by Nevada authorities in the unexplained disappearance of himself from a local cat house. He was later found naked, singing on a windmill.
