WOMAN JAILED FOR BLOWING BUBBLES

A Texas City woman was arrested and jailed Sept. 30th after being caught blowing bubbles on a busy street corner. The woman, Kathy McWorthsteinerson, was charged after police determined that her actions were a danger to traffic on FM 646, causing drivers to swerve and nearly causing several collisions. Witnesses at the scene stated that McWorthsteinerson was on a grassy area near the intersection of FM 517 and FM 646, calmly blowing bubbles on the afternoon of Sept. 30th. Witnesses told police that she had been seen blowing bubbles at this location several times recently. Motorists began honking and waving, causing a small disturbance. A passing officer observed the woman and pulled over. When the officer accosted McWorthsteinerson, she stopped blowing bubbles immediately. She was taken into custody for Creating A Disturbance, with bond set at $5,000. Bubbles, a local rodeo clown, was not charged in the incident.
